Tim Russert was so self important that he took it upon himself to call for an end to the democratic process of voting. More gall I have not seen since Cheney marched off to Washington to set up a transition team before the Florida vote was even settled. The only thing Obama had at that point was a few more pledged delegates. He would still need supers or he would not make it. And that was only because they took away MI and FL votes. I suppose I only regret that he won't be around to see the destruction of the Democratic Party that his actions brought. It is said that he was a progressive, Media prefers this label for themselves rather than Liberal. This man did not represent the democracy that we all hold dear. He set himself up as the "decider" of when the primary should end. Trying to stop the democratic process once his chosen one got ahead. A tin god I say. Nothing he did during this whole process was right or good for America and worst of all for the Democratic Party. He thought he was so important as all news people think they are but the popularity they all seek left him in a wave as 18 million U.S. Citizens disagreeded in the end with his assumptions of himself.

Maybe now the lemming press won't have their king pin and have to think for themselves. They must be scared to death. Cowards all.

Keep up my fellow Michiganders

Thank you for your comments on Tim Russert. While I am sympathetic to the loss for his family and friends, I'm staggered by the amount of coverage and the narcissism MSNBC and NBC have indulged in over his passing. They didn't give as much attention to past presidents....After all, this guy was, as far as, most of us were concerned, only a "TV personality."

He also was the person who really reinforced the nonsense about the so-called race issues that HRC had to face. He confabulated that story just for ratings....Stirring up race tensitons in this country is not honorable; it is criminal....And politics are not just another sports event....

Finally, they say that Obama said he was "grief-stricken" when he heard of this death. I bet he was. TR was his best cheerleader and now Obama has to actually pay for that PR....Maybe that is why he is refusing to take federal campaign funding. He needs more money to manipulate more media....
